SVAT 006: 7 Days 6 Nights Lake Manyara/ Olduvai Gorge/ Serengeti/ Tarangire

Day 1: JRO-Arusha

Our Tanzania representative will meet you and transfer you to Impala Hotel for Half Board accommodation.

Day 2: Arusha-Lake Manyara

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Lunch at Kirurumu Tented Lodge. Afternoon game drives. The park is famous due to its rare tree climbing lions and birdlife.

Day 3: Lake Manyara-Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast drive to Ngorongoro Crater and arrive at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge in time for lunch. Descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a half day of game drive.

Day 4 Ngorongoro-Serengeti

After breakfast drive to Serengeti National Park, via Olduvai Gorge archaeological site, with game viewing en route in the Serengeti. Olduvai Gorge is the site where the Leakey family discovery of fossils of human and animal ancestors dating back to almost two million years. Afternoon game drives in Serengeti plains in search of wildebeests on migration to Masai Mara game reserve in Kenya. Serengeti and Masai Mara are famous for migration safari.

Day 5: Serengeti

Full day in Serengeti plains, search for wild game you might have missed the previous game drives. Morning and afternoon game drives.

Day 6: Serengeti-Tarangire

After breakfast, check out and drive 290km backwards across Ngorongoro Conservation Area to Tarangire for lunch at Maramboi Tented Camp. This is a unique opportunity to experience and explore the Tarangire and Manyara ecosystem.

Maramboi Tented Camp offers permanent camp facilities and endless vistas of rolling golden grasslands and palm lined desert between Tarangire and Manyara Lake. An impressive landscape from the Rift Valley gives the visitor an amazing natural welcome to an area extraordinarily rich in wildlife. The camp offers stunning views of the Manyara National Park, Rift Valley, Ngorongoro highlands and on clear days even Oldonyo Lengai a sacred mountain to the Maasai.

Day 7: Tarangire-Arusha-Depart Home

After breakfast, check out and go for a half day game viewing in Tarangire National park a home to Lion, Leopard, Elephant, buffalo, Python, Zebra, Oryx, Impala and more. Over 450 species of birds have been observed. This park is known as the park of Elephants and Baobabs as are scattered everywhere in the park, while the Tarangire River is a source of the living animals in the park. At 1130hrs leave the park and drive back to Arusha for lunch. Later transfer to Kilimanjaro International Airport to catch your international flight home.
