SKSA 005: 12-Day/11 Nights Great Tour of South Africa
The safari takes you to the finest tourist sceneries in South Africa – Sun City, Kruger National Park and Cape Town.
Days 1 – 5: Sun City
Our driver/guide will meet you at Johannesburg International Airport and then transfer you to your hotel in Sun City where you’ll spend your next four nights on a bed and breakfast basis. Alternatively, you can be accommodated in two different hotels two nights each. It’s about two hours’ drive from Johannesburg to your hotel.
The extraordinary Sun City Resort is located in the stark ruggedness of the North West Region of South Africa, and is surrounded by mountains and the untamed majesty of the African bushveld.
Whatever fun you are looking for, we will help you find it in Sun City. Your full variety of entertainment in Sun City ranges from safaris, the theatre extravaganza, games arcade for children, horse riding, golf and the Valley of Waves.
You’ll have free access to the Valley of the Waves at night. This is the most advanced water park in South Africa. A large lagoon dominates the scene with a wave machine capable of generating 1.8 metre waves every 90 seconds. This water park has five exhilarating flume rides.
From the aptly names Temple of Courage swimmers drop a heart stopping 17 metres down a chute and under a bridge before splashing into a small pool at the foot of the slide.
You have a variety of sports activities to choose from at Sun City – Tennis, squash, swimming, golf, mountain biking, horse riding, and parasailing. Sun City’ s Gym and Health spa keep you perfectly toned, and a beauty treatment is the perfect way to wind down after a workout. A wide range of water sports including Water-skiing, Parasailing and Sunset Cruises can be enjoyed at the Resort’s Waterworld.
There are four world-class hotels including the magnificent Palace of the Lost City that glitters like a jewel beneath the African sun, brilliant in its rain forest surroundings and luxurious in its detail and design. No matter what you are looking for, be it romance, value for money, family fun or sheer decadence, we will find the perfect accommodation for you at one of the superb hotels situated in Sun City in South Africa.
There will be two game drives and a walking safari daily.
5 – 9: Sun City and Kruger National Park
On the firth day of your South Africa safari, you will be transferred from your hotel in Sun City to Johannesburg International Airport, where you’ll take another flight to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport, within the Kruger National Park.
A driver/guide will pick you at Kruger Mpumalanga Airport and transfer you to your lodge. You’ll spend four nights at the lodge on a full board basis including local South African beverage and two game drives each day.
Kruger offers tourists the iconic African safari – a dramatic production rich in lion prides, elephant herds and thousands of other animals, played out against shifting backdrops of savannah, forest, river and mountain.
Days 9 – 12: Kruger National Park and Cape Town
On your last leg of the South Africa safari, you’ll check out from your lodge at Kruger National Park after breakfast. Our driver/guide will then transfer you to Kruger Mpumalanga Airport to take a flight to Cape Town Airport. Our driver/guide will transfer you from the airport to your luxurious 5-star hotel situated in the heart of the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.
Cape Town is one of the world’s most beautiful cities and a great attraction to tourists in South Africa. It’s dominated by Table Mountain, surrounded by the blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean and ringed with fine white sandy beaches.
One of the most significant and symbolically charged pieces of landmark in Cape Town, South Africa, is Robben Island, the entrance to Table Bay. Robben Island, located 12 kilometres from Cape Town, is where South Africa’s first Black President, Nelson Mandela, was held as prisoner during the Apartheid years in South Africa.
We’ll organise trips for you to the Two Oceans Aquarium, Robben Island, the Kirstenbosch Botantical Gardens, the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and the Malay Quarter to make your Cape Town holiday a life-time event to remember.
While still in Cape Town, we can take you to the magnificent Cape Winelands (towns of Stellenbosch, Franschoek and Paarl), just a short distance outside of Cape Town, for a whole day trip. This will give you an opportunity to sample some of the world’s finest wines and learn about the intricate processes used to produce them. You can buy some superb wines at staggeringly low prices.
On the last day of your safari, our driver/guide will transfer you to Cape Town Airport to take a flight to the destination of your choice.
