SKSA 003: 9-days South Africa and Zambia Safari

South Africa and Zambia Safari

Our 9 days 8 nights family safari takes you to South Africa’s top riveting tourist destinations in Cape Town and Sun City and Zambia’s Victoria Falls. This safari is suitable for your family, honeymooners, adventure and those who love the African wildlife and sceneries.

This safari is broken into three main segments to give you enough time to explore the beauty of South Africa and Zambia.

Days 1 – 5: Cape Town

You’ll be met by our representative on arrival at Cape Town International Airport and then transferred to a luxurious 5-star hotel situated in the heart of the Victoria and Alfred Waterfront.

Cape Town is one of the world’s most beautiful cities and a great attraction to tourists in South Africa. It’s dominated by Table Mountain, surrounded by the blue waters of the Atlantic Ocean and ringed with fine white sandy beaches.

One of the most significant and symbolically charged pieces of landmark in Cape Town, South Africa, is Robben Island, the entrance to Table Bay. Robben Island, located 12 kilometres from Cape Town, is where South Africa’s first Black President, Nelson Mandela, was held as prisoner during the Apartheid years in South Africa.

We’ll organise trips for you to the Two Oceans Aquarium, Robben Island, the Kirstenbosch Botantical Gardens, the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve and the Malay Quarter to make your Cape Town holiday a life-time event to remember.

While still in Cape Town, we can take you to the magnificent Cape Winelands (towns of Stellenbosch, Franschoek and Paarl), just a short distance outside of Cape Town, for a whole day trip. This will give you an opportunity to sample some of the world’s finest wines and learn about the intricate processes used to produce them. You can buy some superb wines at staggeringly low prices.

Days 5 – 8: Cape Town and Sun City

You’ll leave Cape Town on the fifth day. Our driver/guide will take you to Cape Town International Airport to take a flight to Johannesburg International Airport. Our driver/guide will meet you at Johannesburg and transfer you to your hotel in Sun City.

Sun City holiday resort is hidden in its own jungle and surrounded by tropical gardens, waterfalls, streams and a beach. Giant domes and minarets, protected by a host of Africa's wondrous creatures, glitter in gold and invite visitors to get lost inside this magical African world.

Sun City is internationally renowned as South Africa's premier holiday resort offering a multitude of attractions and activities to fulfill your dreams of an African holiday. It’s conveniently located about two hours' drive outside Johannesburg. With its combination of golf, game and gambling, as well as world class hotels.

The city offers you unlimited fun-filled activities. You can win a fortune in one of the slot-machines or casino. You can feast your eyes at the shows like Baletsatsi, with dancers, gymnasts and circus people, taking place in the Sun City Hotel’s theatre. There are the Superbowl and world championship boxing events.

The entertainment center hosts these rock concerts and beauty pageants. And there are extraordinaire banquets. An avid sports lover would enjoy bowls, squash, gym, sauna, tennis, tenpin bowling and horse riding.

Further, there is the Waterworld offering you a variety of water sports such as water-skiing, parasailing, windsurfing and sailing. There are more – visiting the Kwena Gardens Crocodile Farm, Manyane Indigenous Bird Aviary or going on a Camel Safari.

Days 8 – 10: Victoria Falls, The Smoke that Thunders

This is your last leg of a great safari to the Southern Africa. You’ll leave Sun City holiday resort via Johannesburg International Airport on the eight day of your South Africa tour. You’ll take a flight at Johannesburg to Livingstone Airport near the mighty Victoria Falls in Zambia. This journey takes about 1.5 hours.

You will be met at Livingstone International Airport by our representative and transferred to your hotel, located on the banks of the Zambezi River, just upstream of the falls.

You’ll have two days to explore what Victoria Falls and its vicinity has to offer. The Victoria Falls is a waterfall situated in southern Africa between the countries of Zambia and Zimbabwe. The falls are, by some measures, the largest waterfall in the world. They also seem to be the most unusual in form and have beyond doubt the most diverse and easily-seen wildlife of any major waterfall site.

Just eight kilometres from the spectacular Victoria Falls, there is the historic town of Livingstone, which was the former capital of Zambia. This is the best gateway to an incredible Victoria Falls safari. Livingstone is considered the tourism capital of Zambia, with a host of activities in the town and at the nearby Victoria Falls for the traveller to enjoy.

If you are a cultural enthusiast, you will enjoy a visit to Chief Mukuni’s village, where guests are introduced to the lifestyle and customs of the local Leya tribe, and entertained with dancing and art and craft exhibitions.

Game viewing along the upper Zambezi River by canoe or cruise boat is rewarding and relaxing. Adrenaline junkies may want to experience the spectacular view while bouncing upside down from the end of a bungi cord off the Victoria Falls Bridge.

Intrepid travellers will also be attracted by the white-water rafting excursions on the swirling waters of the Zambezi Gorge. Helicopter or microlight trips over the Falls, game-drives in the Mosi-oa-Tunya National Park, horse trails along the Zambezi River and a visit to Maramba Market are also available.

Your holiday to the Victoria Falls will not be complete without an elephant back ride, a close encounter with a Rhino while on game walk, game drives, a 111-metre bungee jump and many more exciting surprises.

On your last day of this great safari in the Southern Africa, our driver/guide will transfer you to Livingstone International Airport to take a flight to your home country.
