SKSA 002: The Great Kruger and Zululand Safari
This 7-day safari takes you to the Greater Kruger National Park, the flagship of South Africa’s national parks, and the Zululand region, which abounds with wildlife in famous, extensive reserves within easy reach of Durban.
The Kruger National Park’s two million-hectare reserve offers an unrivalled wildlife experience in South Africa. In Zululand, the safari will take you to Phinda Private Game Reserve safaris, located between the azure waters of the Indian Ocean and the lush waterways of the World Heritage Greater Saint Lucia Wetland Park. Phinda’s 17 000 hectares span seven unique ecosystems.
Day 1: Greater Kruger National Park
You’ll be met at Johannesburg International Airport by our representative and then transferred to a flight to the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve. The reserve is home to the finest South Africa lodges and we’ll book you into one of them.
Our professional driver/guide will take you for an afternoon game drive in a luxurious safari van with a pop up roof for easy game viewing and photographing. The game drive extends into the early evening when the predators in the area become active.

Day 2: Greater Kruger National Park
You’ll wake up to the sounds of the African wildlife in the African wilderness. There will be an early morning game drive in search of wildlife, early-riser predators and different species of birds.
You’ll head back to the lodge for a late breakfast after which a bush walk is conducted by an armed ranger for those who wish to explore the area on foot. You’ll take a rest in the afternoon before embarking on a late afternoon game drive.

Day 3: Greater Kruger National Park
Your third day at gorgeous Greater Kruger National Park will be devoted exploring the wilderness in search of the African wildlife. This will be done from the back of open 4X4 vehicle or on foot during the bush walk.

Day 4: Greater Kruger National Park and Maputoland
Our driver/guide will conduct you on an early morning game drive at the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve before you head back to the lodge for breakfast. You’ll then be transferred from the reserve to the airstrip for a chartered flight to Phinda Private Game Reserve located in the Maputoland region of Northern Kwa Zulu Natal.
You will be transferred to your lodge and have so time for refreshments. We’ll select a luxury lodge for you which is the ideal place to discover one of the most unspoilt wilderness beaches left on the African continent.
There’ll be a late afternoon game drive in an open 4X4 safari van. You may see the leopard, cheetah, bushpig, red squirrel, spotted genet, porcupines, bush babies and mountain reedbuck during the game drive.

Day 5: Maputoland Kwa Zulu Natal
Your fifth day is devoted to two open 4X4 safaris and a bush walk. The reserve is 17 500 Hectares in extent and has the unique distinction of encompassing no less than seven distinct habitats ranging from the Ubombo Mountain section to rare sand forests.

Day 6: Maputoland Kwa Zulu Natal
You’ll go for an early morning game drive in search of the illusive Nyala, which is regarded by many to be amongst Africa’s most beautiful antelope, the Red Duiker as it rushes between thickets, and other wildlife. Other highlights of the day could include sightings of the of the Big Five – The collection of the lion, the African elephant, the African Buffalo, the leopard and the rhinoceros, either the black rhinoceros or the white rhinoceros.

Day 7: Departure for Home
On your last day at Phinda Private Game Reserve, you’ll be conducted to an early morning game drive followed by a breakfast. You’ll then be transferred to Richards Bay Airport for a flight to Johannesburg International Airport to connect with a flight back to your home country.
