Below is the full safari itinerary:

Day 1: Nairobi

A representative of Skyview of Africa Ltd will receive you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer you in our tourist safari van to transfer you to The Boma Hotel for overnight on bed and breakfast. The hotel has a restaurant where you can buy dinner.

Day 2: Nairobi-Sweetwaters (Mt Kenya)

After breakfast, depart Nairobi for Sweetwaters Tented Camp located in the exclusive Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Mt Kenya region. Lunch at your camp. You can do day and night game drives around the private conservancy, which is home for the members of the “Big Five” (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard).

The conservancy has a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any Kenyan national park and is one of only four private game conservancies to have been founded in Kenya. At the forefront of the Kenyan conservancy programme, the conservancy boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, hosts the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, and shelters large numbers of rare and endangered species.

Day 3: Mt Kenya-Aberdares

After breakfast, depart for Aberdares National Park. Access to the park with private vehicles is limited to conserve and protect the environment, which hosts wildlife such as elephant, rhino, buffalo, bush bucks, giant forest hogs, Sykes monkey, leopard, and bongo. On arrival at the Aberdare Country Club, you’ll have lunch (cost included) and in the afternoon, you’ll be transferred to The Ark Game Lodge in the lodge’s vehicle.

This tree-lodge is uniquely shaped to resemble the actual Ark, designed with decks from which numerous balconies and lounges provide superb vantage points for viewing the animals visiting the salt-lick and waterhole. A ground-level bunker at The Ark provides excellent photographic opportunities, and the Yasabara waterhole is floodlit by night to enable all-night viewing of game.

Day 4: Aberdares-Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, a driver of The Ark Lodge will transfer you back to The Aberdare Country Club where you'll reconnect with your driver/guide and then depart for Lake Nakuru, with a brief stop at Thomsons Falls. Entry fees applies if you enter the falls (at your own cost).

Lunch at Flamingo Tented Hill Camp. Afternoon game drives in the park. Besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approx 400 other species of birds visiting the lake. Also, many species of game can be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild's giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game.

Day 5: Lake Nakuru-Masai Mara

After breakfast, depart for Maasai Mara through the floor of the Great Rift Valley, arriving at camp in time for lunch. Afternoon game drives till sunset.

Maasai Mara, the home of the migration safari, is the northern portion of the Great Plains ecosystem in the neighboring Tanzania called Serengeti. It is a home to the “big five” lion, buffalo, rhino, leopard and elephant as well cheetah, zebra, giraffe and vast herds of wildebeest, plain antelope and numerous and other African wildlife.

Day 6-7: Masai Mara

After breakfast, set off to the Masai Mara plains for game drives and also on the lookout for herds of wildebeests crossing the crocodile-infested Mara River, the climax of the migration safari.

Options: Depart for full day carrying packed lunch or return to lodge for lunch and then set off for afternoon game drives. Optional evening visit to a Masai Manyatta Village to learn the dance and culture of the Masai tribe. (You’ll pay USD35 per person per visit directly to the village).

Day 8: Masai Mara-Serengeti

After breakfast, check out of your camp with packed lunch and depart for Serengeti via the Isabenia border. After being helped with immigration formalities at the Kenya/Tanzania border, you'll be handed to our Tanzania driver/guide and proceed to Serengeti, arriving late in the evening. Game drives enroute your lodge.

Day 9: Serengeti

Full day game drives in Serengeti. Serengeti National Park, undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world is a large national park in Serengeti area, Tanzania. It is most famous due to annual migration of over one million white bearded wildebeest and 200,000 zebra to Kenya's Masai Mara Game Reserve in search of pasture.

Day 10 : Serengeti-Ngorongoro Crater

After breakfast, drive to Ngorongoro with game drive enroute in Serengeti via Olduvai Gorge, carrying packed lunch from Serengeti Sopa Lodge and then descend into the crater for a half day tour.

Supported by a year round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro Crater supports a vast variety of animals, which include herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another big draw card to this picturesque national park, is its dense population of predators, which include lions, hyenas, jackals, cheetahs and the ever-elusive leopard. Return to your camp in the evening for overnight.

Day 11: Ngorongoro-Lake Manyara

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park, famous for its rare tree-climbing lions and bird life. After check in at Kirurumu Manyara Lodge, set off for game drives.

Lake Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Highlights include thousands of pink-hued flamingos on their perpetual migration, as well as other large water-birds such as pelicans, cormorants and storks. Large buffalo, wildebeest and zebra herds congregate on these grassy plains, as do giraffes – some so dark in coloration that they appear to be black from a distance.

Day 11: Lake Manyara-Arusha-Nairobi

After breakfast, drive to Arusha where you’ll collect lunch boxes from Arusha Town and then transfer to Tanzania-Kenya border. After being helped with immigration formalities at the Namanga border point, you’ll be handed over to our Kenya/driver guide and drive to Nairobi. This marks the end of your wildlife safari in Kenya and Tanzania.

1500hrs-1730hrs: Giraffe Center
Afterwards, depart for the Giraffe Center located near Hardy Shopping Centre in Nairobi's Lang'ata suburb. The visit gives you a completely up close and personal interaction with giraffes and you will be allowed to feed them. It’s fun for all who visit the Giraffe Centre. You feed giraffes by hand, take a guided nature walk and see a bull in the wild if you're lucky, learn about the different types of giraffes. This will definitely be unique adventure experience for you.

1745hrs-1930hrs: Complementary farewell dinner at the famous Carnivore Restaurant in Nairobi (paid by Skyview of Africa Ltd).

Later, transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your international flight your hotel for overnight.

Day 12: Nairobi-Mauritius

After an early breakfast, transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your 0750hrs Air Mauritius Flight No MK961 Embraer 190 to Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Airport in Mauritius. You will arrive at 1310hrs. Received and transfer to your beach hotel. Accommodation is based on Half Board.

Transfer to Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam Airport to catch the 1910hrs Air Mauritius Flight Air Mauritius (MK960) Embraer 190 to JKIA, arriving at 2230hrs. You’ll then connect your international flight home.
