The world-famous Masai Mara Game (Wildlife) Reserve is Kenya's number one park and is always on the Must See List of every tourist. The annual Serengeti-Masai Mara migration of thousands of wildebeest and other grazing herbivores as they fight for survival to cross the crocodile-infested Mara River in search of grazing land is one of the greatest spectacles in the natural world that makes East Africa a top tourist destination.

Day 1: Nairobi
You arrive at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi onboard morning/evening flight. You are met and transfer to your Nairobi hotel by our representative.

Day 2: Nairobi – Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, depart Nairobi and travel towards Kenya's fertile highlands and head down the Rift Escarpment on a road built by Italian prisoners of war during World War II. Look for the charming chapel they built at the foot of the escarpment. Your journey today takes you across the top of the Rift Valley Escarpment, providing spectacular views of Lake Elementaita, Lake Naivasha and the Great Rift Valley, with the dormant Longonot volcano at centre stage.
You will pass the impressive Longonot earth satellite station as you head across the Great Rift Valley to Lake Nakuru National Park. Enjoy the views of the landscape as you drive across the vast plains on the floor of the Rift Valley. You will see herds of giraffe and gazelle as you head up the Mau Escarpment, before arriving at your destination, Lake Nakuru in time for lunch and a siesta, afternoon game drive at the Pink Lake, which derives the name from thousands of pink flamingos and other birdlife. Lake Nakuru is a bird watchers' paradise. All the Big Five, except the elephant, can be seen here.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara
After breakfast, depart for to the world-famous Masai Mara Game Reserve. You'll travel across the bread basket of Kenya, where acres of wheat and barley litter the landscape as you head north to Narok town, the district headquarters of Masai-land, Narok, and then travel across acres of wheat and barley, before you reach the Masai Mara in time for lunch. Following lunch and a siesta, there is an afternoon game drive returning to the lodge before the sun sets.

Day 4: Masai Mara
Morning balloon flight. A representative of Balloon Safaris Ltd will pick you from your lodge and take you for a balloon flight and bring you back. Link up with your driver/guide and continue with your itinerary. Spend the whole day in the Masai Mara plains doing game drives and on the look out for herds of wildebeests crossing the crocodile-infested Mara River. Optional evening visit to a Masai Manyatta Village to learn the dance and culture of the Masai tribe. (You'll pay USD35 per person per visit directly to the village)

Day 5: Masai Mara – Serengeti
After breakfast, you will check out of your Mara lodge with packed lunch and depart for Serengeti via the Isabenia border. On arrival at the border point, you will be met by our Tanzania driver/guide and proceed to Serengeti to arrive late in the evening.

Day 6: Serengeti National Park
Enjoy morning and afternoon game drives in the endless plains of the Serengeti for a chance to see the great herds of wildebeest, zebras and gazelles or a pride of lions lounging in the shade.

Day 7: Serengeti – Ngorongoro
Depart for a morning game drive in the Serengeti National Park. Lunch at the lodge. After lunch drive to Olduvai Gorge, site of Louis and Mary Leakey's renowned archaeological discoveries. Their findings include some of the man's earliest known ancestral remains. Continue driving to Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Optional evening visit to a Manyatta Village to learn the culture and dances of the Maasai tribe.

Day 8: Ngorongoro Crater Tour
Today, you will descend 2000 feet (0ver 600 metres) to the floor of the crater for a half day crater tour with picnic lunches. Explore the forest areas that are inhabited by monkeys and elephants, the lake area, where you may see the flamingos and the open savannah where the lions hunt for food.

Day 9: Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara
After breakfast, proceed to Lake Manyara National Park. Game viewing en route to Lake Manyara Tree Lodge. Lunch and then set off for afternoon game drives in Lake Manyara National Park, whose inhabitants include hippos, monkeys, tree climbing lions, flamingos and other varieties of birdlife.

Day 10: Lake Manyara – Amboseli
After breakfast, drive to Arusha town where you will collect lunch boxes and then drive to Namanga border between Tanzania and Kenya. Our Kenyan representative will receive you and transfer you to Amboseli Sopa Lodge. Afternoon game drives.

Day 11: Amboseli
Early morning and late afternoon game drives in this photogenic park hosting a great variety of animals and birdlife. You'll have an option to visit Maasai villages to learn their culture and dance. The Masai dancers charge a fee and you'll pay this directly if you opt to go there. Visit Masai Village in the evening to learn their culture and dance (at a cost of USD35 per person per visit and you'll pay this directly to the Masai Village).

Day 12: Amboseli – Nairobi – Depart Home
After breakfast, you'll catch your last views of the majestic Mount Kilimanjaro as you depart Amboseli viewing game en route to Nairobi. Complementary lunch at Panari Hotel in Nairobi. Later transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to take your international flight home.
