SVAKT 002: 10 Nights/11 Days Best of Kenya & Tanzania

Day 1: Nairobi

Our Kenyan representative will meet you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer you to Holiday Inn Hotel where accommodation will be on bed and breakfast only.

Day 2: Nairobi – Aberdares

After breakfast, depart for the Aberdares National Park in Mt Kenya region. On arrival in Nyeri Town, you will have lunch at Outspan Hotel and later in the afternoon transfer to Treetops Lodge. Aberdares National Park has a diverse topography that includes icy rivers, spectacular waterfalls and rain forests. The flora and fauna is quite unique and is not found elsewhere in the country, expect on Mount Kenya. Leopard, elephant, serval, waterbuck, reedbuck, dikdik, rhino and the rare bongo can all be found here. You are sure to see elephants, buffalos and some other animals at the floodlit waterholes of Treetops Lodge.

Day 3: Aberdares – Lake Nakuru

Depart for Lake Nakuru with a brief stop at Nyahururu Thompson Falls. Then proceed to Lake Nakuru. Lunch at Flamingo Hill Tented Camp. Afternoon game drives in the park. Besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approx 400 other species of birds visiting the lake. Also, many species of game can be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild’s giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara

After breakfast depart for Maasai Mara arriving in time for lunch at Mara Sopa Lodge. Afternoon game drives. You will spend three nights in Mara, Africa’s most popular game reserve due to the annual migration of thousands of wildebeests from Northern Serengeti in Tanzania.

Day 5-6: Masai Mara

Morning and afternoon game drives in search of the wildebeest migration and the Big Five. (Full day game drive is an option with packed lunch).

Day 7: Masai Mara – Serengeti

Check out with packed lunch and depart for Serengeti via Isabenia border. Meet our Tanzania driver/guide and proceed to Serengeti to arrive late in the evening.

Accommodation: Serengeti Sopa Lodge.

Day 8: Serengeti

Full day in Serengeti. Morning and afternoon game drives in the rolling grasslands studded with wildlife for as far as the eye can see National reserve. All meals and overnight at Serengeti Sopa

Day 9: Serengeti – Ngorongoro

Breakfast and check out. Drive to Ngorongoro with game drive en route in Serengeti via Olduvai Gorge. Arrive for lunch at Ngorongoro Sopa Lodge. In the afternoon, descend down to the crater floor for ½ day crater tour. Later return to your lodge.

Day 10: Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Lunch at Kirurumu Tented Lodge. Afternoon game drives. The park is famous due to its rare tree climbing lions and birdlife.

Day 11: Lake Manyara – Arusha – JRO – Fly Home

After breakfast drive to Arusha. Lunch at Impala Hotel. Drive to JRO for flight back home.
