SVAL 005: 8 Nights/9 Days Aberdares Samburu Lake Nakuru Masai Mara

Day 1: Nairobi

Our Kenyan representative will receive you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport and transfer you in our safari van to Sankara Hotel where accommodation will be based on bed and breakfast only.

Day 2: Nairobi – Aberdares

After breakfast, depart for Aberdares National Park. Arrive at Outspan Hotel in Nyeri for the 1330hrs transfer to Treetops Lodge. The Treetops Lodge overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick which attracts a host of awesome wildlife at night and tourists view the wildlife from the balcony of their rooms or lodge verandah.

Day 3: Aberdares – Samburu

After breakfast, a representative of Tree Tops Lodge will transfer you back to Outspan Hotel where you’ll reconnect with your driver/guide and depart Samburu National Reserve arriving Sarova Shaba Game Lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon game drives.

Day 4: Samburu

Full day in Samburu, a beautiful and game abundant park, home to rarely found species such as the Beisa Oryx, Grevy’s zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe. Morning and afternoon game drives with an optional visit to a local Samburu village to learn the culture of the Samburu community (You’ll pay USD30 per person).

Day 5: Samburu – Lake Nakuru

After breakfast, depart for Lake Nakuru with a brief stop at Thomsons Falls in Nyahururu. Lunch at Sarova Lion Hill Camp followed by game drives in the park, famous for flamingos and the rare white rhino and leopard.

Day 6: Lake Nakuru – Maasai Mara

After breakfast, depart for Maasai Mara – the land of vast migrating animals. Arrive at Sarova Mara Game Camp in time for lunch. After lunch embark on game drives.

Day 7-8: Maasai Mara

Full day game drives in Masai Mara plains in search of the Big Five.

Day 9: Maasai Mara – Nairobi – Depart Home

After breakfast, drive to Nairobi via the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Stop at the Rift Valley View Point to view the escapement and the Mount Longonot in the background and photographing. Continue with journey and transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your flight home.
