SVAC 008: 09 Nights/10 Days Kenya Safari: Samburu Nakuru Masai Mara Amboseli Tsavo West
Day 1: Nairobi – Samburu
Depart Nairobi and drive through central Kenya and north across the equator to Samburu National Reserve arriving Sarova Shaba Game Lodge in time for lunch. Afternoon game drives.

Day 2: Samburu
Full day in Samburu, a beautiful and game abundant park, home to rarely found species such as the Beisa Oryx, Grevy’s zebra, blue-necked Somali ostrich and reticulated giraffe. Morning and afternoon game drives with an optional visit to a local Samburu village to learn the culture of the Samburu community (You’ll pay USD30 per person).

Day 3: Samburu – Lake Nakuru
After breakfast, depart Lake Nakuru with a brief stop at Thomson Falls. Arrive at Flamingo Hill Tented Camp in time for lunch and then depart for game drives in Lake Nakuru National Park. The park is famous for its flamingos and the rare white rhinos and leopards.

Day 4: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara
Breakfast and then depart for Masai Mara Game Reserve via the magnificent scenery of the Great Rift Valley. Lunch at Mara Leisure Camp and then depart for afternoon game drives.

Day 5-6: Masai Mara
Full spent exploring the stunning Masai Mara scenery and in search of the ‘The Big Five’ – Lions, Leopards, Elephants, Buffalos and Rhinos. Besides these ‘Big 5’ there are many other wild animals and every single one is incredible to watch. They include the Giraffes, Zebras, Hippos, Baboons, Wildebeests, Warthog, Antelopes, Gazelles and different Bird species. Optional evening visit to a Masai Village to learn the dance and culture of the Masai tribe (it will cost you $35 per person and this is paid directly to the village).

Day 7: Masai Mara – Nairobi – Amboseli
After breakfast, depart for Amboseli via Nairobi. Drive via the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Stop at the Rift Valley View Point to view the escapement and the Mount Longonot in the background and photographing. You will arrive at Kibo Safari Tented Camp before lunch. You check into the lodge and then settle for lunch. Afternoon game drives.

Day 8: Amboseli
Full day in Amboseli with morning and afternoon game drives. You’ll have an option to visit Maasai villages to learn their culture and dance. The Masai dancers charge a fee and you’ll pay this directly if you opt to go there.

Day 9: Amboseli -Tsavo West
After breakfast, drives to Tsavo West National Park. Lunch at Finch Hattons Camp and later set off for afternoon game drives.

Day 10: Tsavo West – Nairobi – Depart Home
After breakfast, depart Tsavo West for Nairobi. Transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your flight home.
