This Kenya safari – which takes you to exclusive and stunting locations in Elephant Bedroom Camp in Samburu, Sweetwaters Tented Camp in Mt Kenya, the Ark in the Aberdares – ends in the tropical shores of the Indian Ocean Beach Resort in Mombasa, where you’ll sunbathe and enjoy a cool breeze from swaying coconut palm groves and magnificent baobabs.

Day 1: Nairobi-Samburu

Pick up from Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After safari briefing, drive to the Samburu Game Reserve through Central Kenya to begin your Kenya safari. Arrive at Elephant Bedroom Camp, set on the banks of Ewaso Nyiro River, in time for lunch. Afterwards, set off for afternoon game drives in search of the buffalo, lion, leopard, cheetah and other wildlife and various species of game unique to this northern park. Return to your camp before sunset. At night elephants, buffalos and hippos roam through the camp in search for food and water and hearing them from the warmth of your duvet covered bed is a truly exciting and memorable experience.

Day 2: Samburu Game Reserve

Spend the whole day game viewing in the Reserve. In the evening, enjoy Samburu culture by resident naturalist and entertainment by local Samburu Morans.

Day 3: Samburu-Sweetwaters (Mt Kenya)

After breakfast, depart for Sweetwaters Tented Camp located in the exclusive Ol Pejeta Conservancy in Mt Kenya region. Lunch at your camp. You can do day and night game drives around the private conservancy, which is home for the members of the “Big Five” (elephant, rhino, lion, buffalo and leopard). The conservancy has a higher wildlife-to-area ratio than any Kenyan national park and is one of only four private game conservancies to have been founded in Kenya. At the forefront of the Kenyan conservancy programme, the conservancy boasts the largest black rhino sanctuary in East Africa, hosts the only chimpanzee sanctuary in Kenya, and shelters large numbers of rare and endangered species.

Day 4: Mt Kenya-Aberdares

After breakfast, depart for the nearby Aberdares National Park. Access to the park with private vehicles is limited to conserve and protect the environment, which hosts wildlife such as elephant, rhino, buffalo, bush bucks, giant forest hogs, Sykes monkey, leopard, and bongo. On arrival at the Aberdare Country Club, you’ll have lunch (cost included) and in the afternoon, you’ll be transferred to The Ark Game Lodge in the lodge’s vehicle. This tree-lodge is uniquely shaped to resemble the actual Ark, designed with decks from which numerous balconies and lounges provide superb vantage points for viewing the animals visiting the salt-lick and waterhole. A ground-level bunker at The Ark provides excellent photographic opportunities, and the Yasabara waterhole is floodlit by night to enable all-night viewing of game.

Day 5: Aberdares-Nairobi-Mombasa

After breakfast at your lodge, a driver of The Ark Lodge will transfer you back to The Aberdare Country Club where you’ll reconnect with your driver/guide and then depart for Nairobi through Central Kenya. Stop at Safari Park Hotel in Nairobi for complementary lunch (paid by Skyview of Africa Ltd). Later, transfer to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport to catch your 1630hrs Kenya Airways Flight No. KQ612 to Mombasa’s Moi International Airport, arriving at 1730hrs. Pick up and transfer to Indian Ocean Beach Resort, located on a pristine white sandy beach in Ukunda, South Coast. You’ll enjoy a cool breeze from swaying coconut palm groves and magnificent old stoic baobabs. Accommodation will be in an ocean front room on half board (breakfast and dinner).

Day 6-10: Mombasa

Spend the whole days in the Indian Ocean beach and there are many water sports you can book through your hotel. You’ll pay for the extra activities directly.

Day 11: Mombasa-Nairobi-Depart Home

Check out policy is 10am. After lunch, transfer to Moi International Airport to catch your 1440hrs Kenya Airways Flight No. 609 to Jomo Kenyatta International Airport, arriving at 1540hrs. Connect your international flight home.
