SVAU 011: Gorilla and Chimpanzee Tracking Expedition in Uganda
Day 1: Kampala to Murchison Falls National Park
After your breakfast you will be picked from the hotel by a guide to the park. Lunch en route at Masindi and proceed to the park. Go to the top of the falls for a remarkable sight and sound of the Nile crushing through the chasm.

Day 2: Game drive and Launch cruise
A cup of coffee and leave for the morning game drive around the park hoping to see the Uganda kob, giraffes, Leopards. Return back to the lodge for breakfast and rest. After lunch, you will go for a boat cruise on the Victoria Nile to the bottom of the falls expecting to see crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes and numerous bird species like kingfishers, rare shoebills among others.

Day 3: Murchison Falls – Kibale Forest National Park
Have breakfast in the morning and depart for Kibale forest National Park. Lunch en route in Fort Portal and proceed in the view of the Rwenzori Mountains. A guided nature walk in the Bigodi wetland sanctuary to see various bird species, butterflies and primates.

Day 4: Chimpanzee Tracking – Transfer to Queen Elizabeth
Enjoy your breakfast and head for chimpanzee tracking and other primates like the Red, Black and white colobus monkeys, Red-tailed monkeys plus a sight of some birds like the African pitas, Red-faced woodland warbler, Blue-headed sunbird and many more. Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park after lunch. Go for an evening game drive around the park for a variety of wildlife species.

Day 5: Nature walk and Boat cruise
Breakfast in the morning and visit the Maramagambo forest hoping to see different bird species, chimpanzee, other primates and the python caves. After lunch head for a boat ride along the Kazinga channel expecting to see crocodiles, hippos, buffaloes, Topis, birds like Corncrake, African skimmer, Marital eagle among others.

Day 6: Queen Elizabeth – Bwindi Forest
After breakfast, you will transfer to Bwindi through Ishasha to view the tree-climbing lions. Lunch at Ishasha wilderness Camp; visit the Ishasha River for bushbucks, hippos, crocodile and the green vegetation.

Day 7: Gorilla Tracking and Nature Walk in Bwindi Forest
After breakfast, drive to the park headquarters to be briefed about the “dos and don’ts” when with the gorilla. After tracking, go back to the lodge for breakfast and rest. After lunch visit the Buhoma community to see the Batwa people, their cultural performances, traditional healers and brewers.

Day 8: Bwindi Forest – Lake Mburo National Park
Breakfast and drive to Lake Mburo National Park through the gorgeous scenery of Kabale. Go for a boat cruise after lunch expecting to see Impalas, zebra, crocodiles, Eland among other savanna species.

Day 9: Game Drive Lake Mburo – Kampala
Take a cup of coffee and leave for the morning game drive to see zebras, Buffaloes, Impalas, Topis, Warthogs and different bird species. Return to the lodge for lunch and transfer to Kampala. Lunch en route in Mbarara and a stopover at the Equator for photography.

Day 10: Tour Uganda Wildlife Education Centre – Depart Home
After breakfast, drive to Uganda Wildlife Education Centre, an animal orphanage opened in 1952. The centre specialise in conservation education, rescue and rehabilitation of injured and rescued wildlife, centre for captive breeding and research on wildlife. About 250 individuals wildlife of 50 species are found here. Later, transfer to Entebbe International Airport to catch you flight back home.
