How far in advance do I need to book a safari?admin2023-12-02T14:43:05+00:00
When a client asks us this question, Skyview of Africa Ltd recommends up to 3 to 4 months for low season (April-June and November), 9 months for shoulder/high season (Jan-March) and at least 1 year for the peak season (July-October and December).
During the peak season in your destination, you’ll often find that the more exclusive luxury lodges are in high demand and have limited accommodation options, so you will want to book well in advance for your clients to avoid disappointment.
For bucket list safaris that are month dependent, like the Great Wildebeest Migration in either Kenya or Zanzibar we recommend you book more than 12 months in advance.
However, it is important to let our clients know that it is never too early to start the conversation and get plans in motion to make their travel dreams a reality. Sometimes the most unforgettable trips are the ones that happen at the spur of the moment – depending on flights of course.
