This African safari gives you the best highlights of Kenya safari and Tanzania safari taking you to the Treetops Lodge in Aberdares, Lake Nakuru, Masai Mara, Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater and Lake Manyara, ending with Zanzibar holiday. A Kenya Tanzania safari is both intriguing and exciting, created by the fascinating balance between the wildlife, the landscapes and its people. Day 1: Nairobi – Aberdares

Our driver/guide will receive you at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport. After safari briefing, depart Nairobi for depart for Aberdares National Park (if you arrive by morning flight. Overnight in Nairobi on the first night can be arranged if you arrive by evening flight). Arrive at Outspan Hotel in Nyeri for the 1330hrs transfer to Treetops Lodge. The Treetops Lodge overlooks a floodlit waterhole and salt lick which attracts a host of awesome wildlife at night and tourists view the wildlife from the balcony of their rooms or lodge verandah.

Day 2: Aberdares – Lake Nakuru

A representative of Treetops Lodge will transfer you back to Outspan Hotel where you’ll have breakfast and reconnect with your driver/guide and then depart for Lake Nakuru National Park, with a brief stop at Thomsons Falls in Nyahururu. Lunch at the Lake Nakuru Lodge followed by an extensive afternoon game drives in the park. Besides the flamingos that the lake is famous for, there are approx 400 other species of birds visiting the lake. Also, many species of game can be found in the park including the introduced Rothschild’s giraffe, black and white rhino, waterbuck, reedbuck, lion, buffalo, leopard, baboon and many species of plains game.

Day 3: Lake Nakuru – Masai Mara

After breakfast, depart for Masai Mara Game Reserve through the floor of the Great Rift Valley. Arrive at Keekorok Lodge in time for lunch. Later proceed for the afternoon game drive until sunset in search of the Big Five.

Day 4-5: Masai Mara

Depart for full day game drives in the Masai Mara plains and on the look out for herds of wildebeests crossing the crocodile-infested Mara River. You’ll carry packed lunch and return to your lodge at sunset. Optional evening visits to Masai cultural village to learn their culture and dances. Each visit cost USD35 per person and you pay this directly.

Day 6: Masai Mara – Serengeti

After breakfast, you’ll check out of your lodge with packed lunch and depart for Serengeti in Tanzania via the Isabenia border (carrying packed lunch). On arrival at the border point, you will be met by our Tanzania driver/guide and proceed Serengeti National Park. Game drives in Serengeti plains en route the lodge.

Day 7-8: Serengeti

Full day in Serengeti. Serengeti National Park, undoubtedly the best-known wildlife sanctuary in the world is a large national park in Serengeti area, Tanzania. It is most famous due to annual migration of over one million white bearded wildebeest and 200,000 zebra to Kenya’s Masai Mara Game Reserve in search of pasture.

Day 9: Serengeti – Ngorongoro

Breakfast at your lodge and check out. Drive to Ngorongoro with game drive en route in Serengeti via Olduvai Gorge. Arrive for lunch at Ngorongoro Serena Lodge. Descend down to the crater floor for a half day crater tour. Return to your lodge in the evening for overnight.

Day 10: Ngorongoro – Lake Manyara

After breakfast, drive to Lake Manyara National Park. Lunch at Lake Manyara Tree Lodge and then afternoon game drives. The park is famous due to its rare tree-climbing lions and birdlife.

Day 11: Lake Manyara – Zanzibar

In the morning, we will transfer you to Arusha for lunch. Later transfer to Arusha Airport to catch your flight to Zanzibar Airport. A representative of Ras Nungwi Beach Hotel will pick you from the airport and transfer you to their hotel where accommodation will be on Half Board in a standard room facing the Ocean.

Day 12-13: Zanzibar

Relax and enjoy the endless beaches of Zanzibar while staying in your beach hotel. There is a wide range of water sport activities you can do, like snorkeling, scuba diving, boat trips and more. All activities can be booked with the hotel at your own cost.
